For engineers in many industries, designing automated systems that can position tiny workpieces and optical components with greater precision is a never-ending challenge. At Akribis, we proudly provide innovative products that enhance the accuracy, speed, performance and reliability of advanced motion systems in challenging applications.
For example, the first two posts in our series describing our latest products showcased motors and single-axis positioning stages, along with their features and benefits. This latest post covers even more precision positioning devices, which are also compact in size and take advantage of direct drive motor technology to provide fast response, high speed and acceleration, stiffness and accuracy for exceptional system performance. Here is a look at our new products:
Micro Positioning Stages
AML90B and AML110B micro positioning stages come loaded with a linear micro motor, a micro anti-cage creep, cross roller guide rail and choice of optical encoder. Both stages boast up to ±0.5 µm repeatability and can be combined with another direct drive linear unit to form an X-Y stage. Force and stroke specifications are as follows:
- AML90B Series: 17.1N of continuous force (Fcn) and 51.3N peak (Fpk); 25/50/100-millimeter stroke lengths.
- AML110B Series: 17.1N of continuous force (Fcn) and 51.3N peak (Fpk); 25/50/75/100/150-millimeter stroke lengths.
PGS Series High-Precision Wafer Stages
These compact and lightweight wafer stages combine high precision and rigidity, high speed and acceleration, and fast settling times.
- PGS-XY Series. This stacked stage offers high-speed, high-accuracy in-plane positioning at various wafer locations along with long travel capabilities and zero cogging.
- PGS-ZTPR. This wafer alignment module mounts to the PGS-XY to provide four degrees of freedom to perform precision focusing, angular alignment, angle-of-incident adjustments and wafer wedge compensation tasks.
XRG Series Miniature Goniometer Stages
XRG Series stages deliver superior angular accuracy, dynamics and reliability versus conventional gonio stages. Features include anti-creep roller gonio ways, built-in grating scale and up to 4.0 arc-sec repeatability. Force and stroke specifications are as follows:
- XRG70. 0.602 Nm continuous torque (Fcn) and 1.70 Nm peak (Fpk); 12-degree stroke.
- XRG110. 1.07 Nm continuous torque (Fcn) and 3.21 Nm peak (Fpk); 12-degree stroke.
